started on the ‘gram now we here

Every relationship begins with some type of introduction, so here we go: I’m Nadia, affectionately nicknamed Nad, (pronounced “nod”) by my late grandmother. My closest friends and family call me Nad, and wine tasting was just a mere hobby 9 months ago. I am passionate about connecting with people over natural wine and the connections made on Instagram have led to what feels like a divine shift in my life.

I’m a dog mom, a sunshine lover and wifey to-be! I love all things orange. I prefer my routines to be as natural as possible: food, haircare, skincare, etc. Staying active and eating well are important to me. I love talking, writing and yes, wine - so here we are. My professional background is in social work, and I have no formal education in wine (yet!). I will be starting the WSET Level 1 in Wines in less than a month, thanks to a scholarship received from Wine Unify, an organization promoting diversity in wine through education and mentorship.

Most of the wines I drink are natural, and we’ll get into this definition or lack thereof another time. There is something so alluring about natural wine and my interest has quickly grown to passion. Ask me 9 months ago, there was no vision for this, I was just posting about cool wines. Now, I see the value in my presence as a biracial Black and Filipino curly girl in the wine space. I see the wine industry doesn’t have to look a certain way, and my palate is here for the adventure.

By following along, you can expect to learn about natural wine in a relatable way, discover a natural alternative to your favorite wine and follow my journey through the wine industry. I am building a brand that promotes natural wine as a lifestyle choice, and encourages an inclusive, unpretentious culture. Check the homepage for the official vision, but at any level, I’d love to build a community of wine lovers interested in expanding their palates and uniting under the mutual appreciation of great wine.

I look forward to our journey together, I can’t wait to share wine with you.

Cheers + love,

Nad
